Take the look
Three files, one page
1 · Get the files. The beidwerk-web repository on GitHub
holds them in site/: the fonts (Archivo and IBM Plex Mono, both under open licences), the design tokens
(beidwerk.css: colours, type, spacing, in light and dark) and the kit (kit.css).
2 · Link them.

3 · Build with the kit. Headings, buttons, cards, tables, tags and notices take the bw- classes
(bw-display, bw-button, bw-card, bw-table, bw-tag, bw-notice…). Colour, type and spacing come from
the tokens, never by hand.
The stage and the receipt
Two modes, one language
Tapsigned · the stage
Your work, confirmed by both.
Headers, pictures, empty states and first steps live on the stage.
The receipt · confirmed by both sides

Confirmed Freiregister #1
- The stage (dark) for pictures, first steps and stories.
- The receipt (light) for anything a person reads twice: forms, confirmations, prices.
- One red per screen, for the one important thing.
Make it yours
What keeps it Beidwerk
- Your own accent. Your product changes the colour, never the rules.
- Two things meet. Show the moment of contact: a confirmation, a handshake, a payment arriving.
- Calm around, play in the marks. Let the playful part be small and the rest quiet.
- No text in pictures. Headlines, prices and names are set in type, over or beside the picture.
For agents
An MCP server, plain JSON
Agents can work in the Beidwerk style too. The Beidwerk MCP server is read-only and runs on your own machine, with no keys and no costs. One command connects it to Claude Code:
claude mcp add beidwerk -- uvx --from git+https://github.com/maximedogawa/beidwerk-web beidwerk-mcp
| Tool | What it gives |
|---|---|
design_principles |
the seven principles, the test for anything new, what Beidwerk never does (English or German) |
design_tokens |
colours for the stage or the receipt, type, spacing, radius and lines |
kit |
the three stylesheets to link and every bw- component with an HTML example |
signs |
the four red signs with their meaning in the B and their SVG |
build_prompt |
an image prompt in the Beidwerk style for any subject: light (the receipt) or night (the stage) |
The same data is on this site for agents that only read the web: api/beidwerk.json and llms.txt.
How Beidwerk itself is made
By hand, with AI tools
Beidwerk is made by one person with a set of AI tools, step by step: every picture, every shot and every cut is chosen by hand, and most are thrown away.
- The band. Four characters began as concept art. Their faces are drawn in Midjourney from the same references every time, so a close-up and a wide shot show the same person.
- The songs. Written in Austrian German, sung with Suno, each with a singable English version.
- The music videos. Planned shot by shot on the song: one realistic still per shot, brought to life as a short moving shot, cut on the beat, one colour grade per video. Where a member sings, the mouth follows the real voice of the song.
- The apps. Designed in the same language and built one at a time, from the first idea to live.
